My jazz life in New York:
In 1984 I was a soloist with Randy Brecker in Bob Mintzer's Lazy Day with the Manhattan School of Music Big Band at the Concord Jazz Festival.
Then there were many jazz nights on World Yacht Cruises around southern Manhattan, jams at clubs like the Blue Note and as a member of the Tom Pierson Big Band at the club 7th Avenue South, Jens Wendelboe Big Band with Kenny Garrett and with the Roland Vasquez Latin Band and the Aspen Music Festival 1984-86 in Colorado with guest artists like Slide Hampton and Wynton Marsalis.
At the Manhattan School of Music, in 1984, it was possible for the first time to get a Masters Degree in Jazz Performance,
so our class attracted already established musicians from Blood Sweat & Tears, George Shearing and others.
Back home in Sweden in 1991 there were many concerts with Red Mitchell, 2 CD recordings, SVT Musik i elfte timmen
Later with Nils Lindberg and Alice Babs, Roger Kellaway and Svante Henryson and.
Since then my main focus has been to commission and premiere classical soprano sax concertos and chamber music.
In 1977 I played Duke Ellington's Come Sunday as soloist with Adolf Fredrik's Musikklasser America Choir in Lansing, Michigan, USA.
Then at the age of 16 I decided to become a professional musician.
